he Clinton Journal has an immediate opening for a full-time sports reporter to provide local sports coverage in and around our small, quiet, rural central Illinois community located 30 minutes south of Bloomington. The Journal is published twice per week on Tuesdays and Fridays. This position would also include some basic news reporting duties, but the main emphasis would be reporting on high school, middle school and youth and adult community sports. Hours would vary throughout the week but would require some evenings based on the local sports schedules. Qualified candidates should possess solid writing skills and sports knowledge. Photography and page layout experience are helpful. Salaried pay plus benefits, including paid mileage, paid vacation, paid holidays, medical benefits and 401-K. Applicants should mail resume and clips to Clinton Journal, P.O. Box 615, 111 S. Monroe St., Clinton, IL 61727. Or e-mail information to Gordon Woods at gwoods@theclintonjournal.com
