We have an (immediate) opening here in Michigan City for a full-time sports writer (with benefits, of course). The job entails two or three nights of layout per week, regular preps game coverage, a weekly column and maintaining a blog. Anyone interested should immediately send a resume to:

    The News-Dispatch, c/o Adam Parkhouse
    121 W. Michigan Blvd.
    Michigan City, IN, 46360

You may also e-mail resumes and clips to aparkhouse@thenewsdispatch.com. We'll be looking to fill this position as quickly as possible with high school football season starting in less than two weeks.

Wasn't that where Mike Tyson was incarcerated (sp?) for the rape?

Same job posted a year ago. Almost to the day.

The city has an outlet mall, and it is near a riverboat casino. That's about all I can tell you.

The riverboat casino is in Michigan City, so yea I guess that qualifies as being near it. :D

They have also just built a land casino in New Buffalo, MI, which is about a 10-15 minute drive.

My brother got married in Chesterton, spent a bunch of time in MC. Like it a lot.

Adam is a great guy and does a great job with limited resources. He brings a lot of good ideas to the table, too. For someone looking for a full-time job and looking to get a foot in the door, this is a good opportunity.
