    Description:
We are still needing a third person to round out our sports department at the Pine Bluff Commercial. We are looking for a self-motivated reporter who can handle reporting and layout duties on deadline on a daily basis. We have just moved into using NewsEngin for our articles and InDesign layout. Experience with InDesign layout is strongly desired; experience with NewsEngin is a plus. Our coverage area includes 16 high schools (14 for football), a Division I university and a Division II university. Please send a cover letter and resume along with three reporting and three layout samples to sports editor I.C. Murrell at icmurrell@gmail.com. Need to mail the layout samples? Address: I.C. Murrell, Pine Bluff Commercial, P.O. Box 6469, Pine Bluff AR 71601

I'm extremely surprised this wasn't filled when it was posted earlier.

It pays just $11 an hour. Scribes get just one day off at a time, not two days in a row. No AP wire and the circulation is above 15, which is odd.

Better than no job at all, but I can see why folks aren't staying around.

Wasn't I.C. Murrell at OKC not too far back?

Murrell replaced Robert Tuberville, who is now working at the Arkansas 24/7 affiliate.

I believe Murrell was also in Mississippi at one point during his career.
