Vague job description. Sounds like it's for a columnist position.

All I have to offer is that sports editor Michael Peters is good people and a damn good journalist. He'll push you and make you better.

Looks like this is for the Oklahoma State beat after the Tweet the World's sports desk just sent out.

Could this have something to do with The Oklahoman's recent opening?

No. Kelly Hines is staying on the OSU beat, but Jimmie Tramel is shifting duties, from what I understand.

One of our sports folk is shuffling over to the Scene desk and will be a features writer. It'll be a good fit for the writer involved. Not sure if it's been announced outside of the building who it is yet, so not sure if I should name names.

And then I see the post above this one that pretty much says who it is lol.

    To clarify a few things:

-- Not a columnist gig. The "columns" will be analysis pieces that we run a couple of times a week.
-- Absolutely nothing to do with the Oklahoman gig.
-- Michael Peters is good people, as stated above. Kelly's good people, too. So is Patrick Prince, the assistant editor for sports. Fine staff to work with.

If you have any other questions, holler at me.

    Bumped back to top:

Mark Cooper is the lucky winner for the Tulsa job. His most recent stop was the LA Register.
