Buddy asked me to put out some feelers. I'm not sure if this will be officially posted or not...

Traverse City Record-Eagle (circ. approx. 29k) is looking for a sports reporter.
It would be mostly prep, but also Frontier League baseball (The Beach Bums) and Junior A hockey (North Stars). The Michigan Open is up here, and the Red Wings have their training camp up here, too.

Great area for outdoors -- ice fishing, skiing (water and snow) and a few pretty cool places to hang out. Something like 22 wineries up there, and there's a pretty good sized film festival up there every year.

PM me if you'd like more details.

How much experience would they be looking for and how much would pay be in northwest Michigan?

Traverse City was always my favorite part of my family's trips to visit my aunt up near Cadillac. It's gorgeous, and you can get all kinds of wine tastings.

Plus, there's a casino up there.

I'm getting some more specifics, and I'll pass them along as I get them.
    For now...
Pay isn't going to buy you a Benz, but it's also more than enough to live on w/o worrying about roommates and ramen.

And to answer a few PMs in one: Yes, this is an opening. By not "posting," I was speaking specifically to journalismjobs, apse, etc.
They do need to fill this job.

I would assume that by posting on the board, contacting the SE would be better than going through HR?

I would assume that is most always the case.

Agreed, but being CNHI, how long does it stay that way before suits in Bama start messing with it?
