The Herald & Review in Decatur, Illinois, is seeking a versatile team member for its sports department.

The ideal candidate would be an enthusiastic writer to help us keep up with an area rich in top sports programs and come away with more than just a game story. The person must be excited to keep us ahead of the curve with our online components by embracing social media, including digital and video components.

The right candidate also will be able to perform copy editing duties once or twice a week.

We cover 45 high schools that traditionally make an impact on the state level, but responsibilities could also include local colleges and general assignment. Please include three examples of your best work.
