The South Florida Sun Sentinel is seeking a reporter to cover college sports, recruiting and some general assignment duties.

This reporter’s primary responsibility will be covering Florida Atlantic University, a Division-I athletics program that competes in Conference USA.

He or she will also contribute to recruiting coverage in the football hotbed of South Florida and pick up various assignments during FAU's offseason (including some pro sports).

We want a candidate who has proven he or she can break news and cover games on deadline – but also a reporter who can write features and enterprise stories that will engage a broad readership.

Must be social-media savvy, comfortable being on both sides of a video camera and have the sense of urgency needed to fit into a digital-first operation.

Bachelor’s degree and experience at a daily newspaper or major website required.

Interested candidates should email a resume, five clips and contact information for three professional references to sports editor David Selig at dselig@sunsentinel.com.

Do you want tearsheet clips or links to work samples? Or does it matter?
