Growing by leaps and bounds. I'm guessing about 160K...

Want to say that the Argus is somewhere int the 50-60K range.

American Association team there too, the S.F. Canaries.

Good high school teams, lots of state tournaments; Augustana and College of Sioux Falls are in town, Morningside, USD and SDSU are close. Lots of local sports.

And a five-hour drive to MSP is a piece of cake. Omaha isn't that far in the other direction, either.

Three hours, if Mapquest is to be believed.

Three hours is pretty accurate. Friends who live in Omaha make weekend trips out of it.

  6. Bottom line: If you can put up with winter in Sioux Falls, it's a perfectly fine city. And despite its Gannett pedigree, the Argus Leader is a pretty decent paper.
