Do you have a passion for covering the NFL?

Would you like to join one of Pro Football's most established media brands as it continues to grow its national audience?

Shaw Media is seeking an experienced writer, reporter and analyst. This reporter will work with Editor/General Manager Hub Arkush and the Pro Football Weekly team as it enters its 50th year covering the National Football League.

The person in this job will be based in our office in Crystal Lake, Illinois. She or he will be tasked with developing an outstanding network of NFL and media sources, breaking NFL news, reporting on and analyzing breaking news reports from other outlets, analyzing players, coaches and front office personnel across the National Football League, submitting ideas for and producing compelling feature stories and devoting some time to covering the Chicago Bears as assigned.

The PFW audience receives our news in multiple ways; the ideal candidate will work to connect with the audience on platforms including social media, newsletters, TV and podcasts, radio, on our website at ProFootballWeekly.com, and during the NFL season, in our weekly print product.

Annual fantasy football and NFL season preview magazines also are part of the PFW catalog, and we need a writer/reporter who will contribute to these projects from start to finish while providing great insight.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in journalism or comparable experience, and prior experience covering the NFL. They must understand all the different ways the NFL matters to fans, from the hardcore to the hometown fan to the daily and season-long fantasy player.

A strong understanding of and significant experience with social media and broadcast are all a plus.

Shaw Media offers a comprehensive benefit package.
