I don't know the history of Drip and the others, but I do know that many employers post jobs because they have to even though they might already have somebody in mind for the position.
So, job listing gets posted and filled within hours.
It happens. Deal with it. It's not anybody's fault here.

  2. In this climate I would say we're lucky if 2 out of every 10 jobs posted are truly open competitions. It seems at least in my current job search that the vast majority of gigs that become open are posting for EEOC sake. They either already have an in-house/company candidate or they have someone strongly in mind. You're lucky to have a true open shot. So I can't get mad at job postings that are already filled. I still apply because I've gotten jobs/contract down the road from contacts I've made thru the application process.

Absolutely. 2 out of 10 might be right. But again, I was was referring to that particular publication, not to anyone else on the board. Reading the posts, I can see how someone could have mistaken my posts to mean I was taking a swipe at them. That wasn't the case.

    Fixation?? Lol, dream on, Drippy.

That said, if I did mistake the intent of your post, I apologize.

There is no "if." You made a mistake. I accept your apology. Let's keep it moving. We're good Double J.
