Update?

 

I've called and e-mailed repeatedly to no avail.

 

Could be the Bee puts a lot of wax on the good investigative reporter type.

 

E-mailed last week to see if they were still accepting applications. They were. Haven't heard anything since.

 

Why would they still be accepting applications after posting this job one and a half months ago?

 

I worked for McClatchy for close to 15 years and recall many positions not being filled "until after the first of the year." And here we are in December. With that in mind, I'd encourage any and all to apply.

 

Updates, considering the Bee just cut 32 jobs?

 

Safe to assume that vacancy was cut from the budget. How many people in sports who report directly to the Sacramento Bee (as opposed to Modesto or Fresno or whatever)? I would guess about six ......
