    Any young journalist looking to cut their teeth in the No. 1 media market would be wise to take this job, no matter what it pays. My first gig was in N.C. for about 14G a year in the 90s -- and not the 1890s. This probably won't pay much more, relative to cost of living but any self-motivated writer could get priceless experience and clips.

    Also, Lou Parajos is as good a newspaper man, and just man, as there is in the business.
