The Perry Chief, a weekly newspaper serving northern Dallas County, Iowa, is looking for an ambitious sports reporter who can also handle feature and news writing. The position requires covering two area high schools and their full slate of year round sports. The job requires setting priorities and building contacts with several coaches and sports at one time. The job also requires the versatility to step in on community and government reporting.

One year previous experience with sports reporting and sports photography is preferred. Experience with InDesign and page layout is a plus. Evening & weekend work is required. Reliable transportation, valid auto insurance and driver's license are required.
