The Odessa American seeks a sports writer ready to be a team player and join our five-person staff to cover everything from football and other high school sports to college athletics and several minor-league professional franchises in the ever-growing Permian Basin. Everyone on this staff runs hard all day every day for the good of the section. Page design skills are a must along with ability to work online and with social media. Experience working under tight deadlines while providing clean copy is desired. This is a dedicated and hard-working staff committed to providing extensive coverage for the area. The right person must be able to meet expectations as a member of the team to enhance the work ethic already in place.
