Description:

The Oakdale Leader is seeking a person to report on local sports. Writing skills and multimedia knowledge, including video required. If you have a flair for writing, read local sports and are interested in local events and are open to learning, you may be the person or this job.

Oakdale, Escalon and Riverbank school teams and community sports are the focus of this position.

Been ages since I've seen this paper, but the coverage of Oakdale High was comprehensive. That meant JV and frosh teams too. Oakdale and Escalon are among the stronger football programs in the Sac-Joaquin Section. City is a little east of Modesto, so you'll be a couple of hours from the Bay area, Sacramento and Fresno. Oh, and four hours from Lake Tahoe.
