The Le Mars Daily Sentinel, an award-winning four-day-a-week newspaper in northwest Iowa, seeks a talented, motivated sports writer with a competitive drive. The ideal candidate will have exceptional reporting and photography skills.

Job responsibilities include covering prep sports for our seven area schools, building relationships with players and coaches and designing the sports page for the next day’s paper.

The full-time position requires a strong ability to juggle multiple assignments and collaborate smoothly with another full-time sports writer. Starting salary is $23,000 annually, depending on experience.

Page design abilities and experience with InDesign, Photoshop and social media are a must.
