Does anyone know anything about this place personally? I was thinking about applying but I've heard really bad things about family-owned groups like this one, so I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.

I lived nearby. Ok area...not a lot there, but relatively close to Spartanburg. Good high school football and you will cover Presbyterian College in one of the best small college football stadiums around. Don't know a lot about the company, but the people are pretty decent. The only real blemish was the Redneck Shop...and I think it was closed a few years back.

Never heard of it. And I've lived in South Carolina for seven years.

I came out of a family owned paper situation that was fine for a few years but went down the tubes to a point where I hated several people. I decided to apply for this one in Laurens despite the former situation because I need the job and am unconcerned where it is.

Do you guys think I should call? I applied for this job as well as the one in Danville, VA awhile back and while I emailed both to check on the status of the jobs late last week, neither has replied to me. I don't know whether to call or if they would contact me if interested, but I'm very excited about both jobs, so I don't want to miss out.

Just make sure to put a number under $25K for the salary requirement.

I did that, but should I call or wait it out?

I cover the Big South ... and I've yet to encounter anyone that covers Presby on a daily or semi-daily basis. Hell, under the media listing in their hoops guide is a photo of me interviewing their head coach, and I work six hours away from Clinton.
