Laredo is a major sports town, boasting seven public high schools, a private high school, an active community college, an NCAA Division II university and three minor league professional teams. Looks like the website design is based on throwing everything but the kitchen sink on it. You have video, slideshows, podcasts, Twitter and Facebook, but none of the efforts are that good. I guess no one really reads in Laredo, since a 16,000 circ in a city of over 250,000 is pathetic.

Unless you need a job, this doesn't seem to be anything special.

I'm sure the crime right is real low in Laredo as well.

I don't think they are ready to make a hire in three days.

    Just an update on this:

We have indeed made a hire on this particular opening, but are also looking to make another hire since our other reporter is leaving as well. He is leaving the field and joining the PR ranks.

So, we do have another position open - sports reporter - and the same job description applies, although we are especially considering those who speak/understand Spanish.
