Sports reporter intern/Austin Community Newspapers

    Austin Community Newspapers is looking for a sports reporter intern for its Bastrop and Smithville newspapers. Any potential intern would earn a $100 a month stipend and get experience covering high school football on deadline. We are a subsidiary of the Austin American Statesman and all copy appears on the website statesman.com. In addition, interns will have an opportunity to have their stories picked up for print in the Austin American Statesman.
    Reliable transportation is a must as travel within Bastrop County will be required. Applications will be accepted through May 31.
