CNHI shop. Appears to have a decent number of bodies in sports. Does not ask for desk skills, so that sounds like a plus.

This same job was advertised back in February, although I don't think it ever got posted here. So either it didn't get filled or the person they hired didn't stay long.

Wonder who left or if it didn't get filled. This may be another domino from the ESPN raid of The Oklahoman.

EDIT: It's not a domino from the ESPN thing. They had to move someone to desk and had two people quit after working less than a month, so sayeth the grapevine. This is a decent gig for a CNHI paper. Unlike most CNHI shops I have had the displeasure of dealing with, Norman seems to be one that understands that Oklahoma is their bread and butter and actually throws a little money into that coverage. I get to sit next to them at all the OU games, and there are at least three people there every Saturday covering the game, two people at every luncheon and they are always working sources before the game on the other sports at the University. Good gig for someone starting out for sure.

A little different when your paper doesn't have to pay mileage. Or (allegedly) overtime.
