    Description:
    The El Campo Leader-News, a thriving twice-weekly newspaper in Southeast Texas, has an immediate opening for a sports reporter.

    The ideal candidate is a gifted writer who is ready to cover various sporting events and contribute dynamic feature stories. Additionally, we requre you to have the skills to produce quality pages each week using InDesign software as well as contribute photography to accompany your stories. You must be a team player and enjoy collaborative efforts.
    El Campo, located on Highway 59 between Houston and Victoria, is a great place to live and our newspaper has a long tradition of importance and relevance to our community. We're looking for the next employee to not only continue that tradition in print, but also assist us with our growing online and social media presence. Our newspaper is annually a top award winner in regional and state editorial contests.
    Candidates with previous newspaper experience are preferred, but will consider college graduates with outstanding skills.
