The Muskogee Phoenix, an award-winning six-day per week newspaper in northeast Oklahoma, is seeking a multi-talented individual to join our Sports Department team. The ideal candidate will have a love of high school and college sports, is a team player and can thrive on deadlines. The top candidate will cover games, write features and columns, design pages, copy edit stories, shoot photos and be comfortable with our digital and social media platforms. We’re looking for someone with a flair for design and comfortable in a fast-paced, creative environment. Should have a journalism degree or equivalent. We encourage applicants of all ages and experience, as we do not discriminate on the basis of an applicant’s age, race, ethnicity or gender.
