    Description:
The Star-Herald is seeking a sports reporter to produce clean, fresh and interesting copy for an award-winning six-day newspaper. Candidates must have solid copy editing skills using Associated Press style and will be required to design and lay out attractive-looking pages. A degree in journalism is preferred, but candidates with experience in sports reporting, copy editing and/or page design will be strongly considered. The position is full-time and requires evening and Saturday work. The Star-Herald offers a competitive wage and comprehensive benefit package, including health/dental/vision benefits, paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, and 401(k) with employer match. For more information, contact Editor Steve Frederick at steve.frederick@starherald.com

From what I remember, Scottsbluff has a three-person sports staff. They had an opening early last summer, too, when one staffer left to pursue a master's degree.
