    The Daily News in Bowling Green, Ky., has an immediate opening for a full-time sports reporting position. This position’s primary focus will be high school sports – we cover five in-county high schools and a number of schools in surrounding areas – and the women’s basketball team at Western Kentucky University. Members of our sports department also contribute to page design, so familiarity with InDesign is a plus. The schedule is flexible, but night and weekend work is a given. The Daily News is a family-owned daily newspaper in Bowling Green, a rapidly growing city in southcentral Kentucky. Previous experience in a professional newsroom is preferred, as is experience with (or a willingness to learn) basic video production techniques.     I worked 30 minutes east of Bowling Green. The sports dept. does solid work. Plus, WKU is there!
