This is internal as of the moment, but I'm sure they'll make it national by the end of the week.

Ryan Clark is leaving after two years. Not sure of the circumstances, but he covered the USHL's Fargo Force, the Minnesota preps beat and most major hockey stories, along with dabbling in other areas. Though those three items were his bread and butter, I'm not sure if they'll make an internal shuffle of beats because of this opening.

As for The Forum, it's a great shop with a solid staff. It's the flagship newspaper in a family-owned company that has more than 30, plus three TV stations and one of F-M's biggest radio stations. All in all, it's a great place to work and somewhere they won't be cutting sports reporters anytime soon.

If you don't know anything about Fargo aside from the movie of the same name, or because you're an avid viewer of The Weather Channel, know that it's a great place to live and raise a family or be young and have fun. It has a growing metro area of about 210,000 with three good-sized universities and colleges, including last year's FCS champion North Dakota State.
