    Nah, sticks mean you've got trees around for wood. There ain't none of that up in that part of the Panhandle.

    FYI, Amarillo (60 miles away) is the nearest place with more than 20,000 people. Lubbock, the nearest place with a DI college, is almost 200 miles away. This part of the world is not what you'd call culturally sophisticated.
