The American News in Aberdeen, S.D., is seeking an energetic, motivated sports reporter for our newspaper and website at www.aberdeennews.com.

This reporter must be a high-energy self-starter with photography skills and the ability to contribute to and help us grow our social media and digital presence. Creative thinking is encouraged.

Northeast South Dakota boasts amazing outdoors opportunities, as well as the best in state sports. Aberdeen is home to several state tournaments, including basketball and wrestling, two collegiate athletic programs (including Div. II Northern State University), a minor league hockey team, rodeo, horse races, car races and more.

Our sports staff is highly respected around the state, and have been leaders in print and digital — including our Aberdeen Sports smartphone app.
