Sports Production Journalist -- The National, Abu Dhabi

    I have, and it's made me wonder about my qualifications because I worked at a wire service, not a newspaper.

    Sometimes I wonder how picky the hiring powers are (such as, on one of the other current openings, specifying a journalism major), but I think it's just one of those where they list the desired candidate and if you feel you could do it but don't quite fit, apply and explain why you could do it anyway.

    I know that, but the "Professional" daily experience is what threw me a bit. I have plenty of experience at dailies, just didn't know what they meant by "Professional". I'm usually on the Canuckistan journalism job sites and I don't think I've ever seen that particular phrase before.
