A link to Leitch, who would be the main writer I seek out there:

A viable challenger to ESPN.com/Grantland, and a new longterm voice for insightful national sports coverage?

Or FanHouse II, ultimately a house of cards sustainable only as long as ownership wants it to be?

I'm already a fan of its very existence, for my own selfish reasons.

Doesn't look edgy enough. A lot of salt water taffy.

Are we baking a bigger pie by adding another 'smart' sports website? Or are we cutting the same old pie into smaller and smaller and smaller pieces?

Fine mastheads everywhere, but as Radd suggests, the question is really which survives the cutting and sorting.

Posnanski's introductory essay is a harbinger. He escalates a meaningless, forgettable baseball game into a metaphor about how important sports and the website are.

Why am I thinking of a taco that craps ice cream?

Just me, or is the name of the thing - 'Sports on Earth' - half annoying?

Asking on behalf of my 'Sports on Mars' investors.

No more annoying than the showy invocation of a long dead sports writer.
