Cool story ... even if he was a Ranger.

"See that big N up there on that hill? It stands for 'nowledge'."

About the only good thing Fox did when they had the NHL rights was to produce some very cool hockey videos. One of my favs (and my kids) was called "Masked Men" that profiled, of course, goalies.

They did, let's see, Hasek, the Beezer aka the Boozer, Roy, Richter and Brodeur. (I think there was one more)

Anyway, Richter came across as an extremely focused and bright guy who was an absolute fanatic about fitness and diet.

JD is quoted as saying "Mike Richter is the hardest working guy in hockey" So, this doesn't surprise me.

It's often paired with the word "Thenledge."

Hmmm. I'm having trouble recalling ... who was the goalie for the team that won the '96 World Cup of Hockey ... and what was that country again?

It was a joke, newb. Any other international achievements in the last 10 years you'd like to mention?

    No? OK then.

I was replying in the same vein. Boy you Canucks are sensitive about the hockey. Don't make me mad or I'll diss curling!

The N in UNO also stands for "Never draft Augie Schmidt ahead of Dwight Gooden".

There's a dated threadjack for ya.
