Can I quote every post on this thread? Hear-hear to recruiting, NFL exhibition, spring training.

I'm not to dignify mock drafts and fantasy as "news."

And I don't want to hear your picks unless you tell me how much of your own money you put on them. Otherwise I'm not impressed.

Don't TV people realize how many people immediately change the channel when they go to one of those interminable talking-head postgame pressers? Nothing makes me grab the remote faster.

Championship parades and winning teams visiting the White House.

I bet myself 10 large that IJAG would have the second post on this thread.

I am now worried I will send someone to break my thumbs, as I cannot pay up.

Another vote here for college football recruiting. I simply do not understand what all the fuss is about, but we have large numbers of readers who just eat that stuff up.

Also, women's basketball on TV. When I'm covering a girls game in person, I can get into it, but on TV? Sorry, but no.

Golf -- unless Tiger is making an ass of himself.

MLB and NBA preseason. Somebody allways tweeks something and it's the end of the world. Actually all MLB and NBA.

NFL preseason. The undrafted rookie just scored a TD. Wow!

NASCAR, unless there's a crash or fight. It wouldn't be that bad, but Dr. J loves NASCAR. It's a losing battle for me.

    Boxing.

"Retired" athletes making a comeback. Over and over again.

    1. Virtually any sports story with the word "contract."

    2. Virtually any story that mentions the words "Hall of Fame."

    Golf without Tiger.

    Hockey before the playoffs.

    College basketball before the tournaments.

Controversies ... unless it's something that actually matters, unlike a tweet or an end zone dance.

The off-season, any off-season, except I watch the NFL draft. Everything else falls into two categories: stuff I could find out in five minutes of reading before the first (real) game of the season or things that don't matter and are just drummed up to fill time for the Mouse.
