    Very well put, Bubbler.

Losing insurance is a big key.

A guy died, who worked with me this last week, and a big part of it was money.

That's where we are at, whether we like to admit it or not.

RIP Dave. I hope you find whatever you were looking for.

Sometimes, as in this case, lack of universal access to decent health care is tantamount to at least manslaughter.

A great way to put it.

Would love to hear the assholes who think health care is a priviledge chime in on this one. Then again, maybe not.

    RIP

hoo and editorhoo were not the same person.

Anyone know if editorhoo worked in Virginia at one point?

No inside sources here, but I'm going to guess no, Moddy. He said he'd been at his paper for 18 years, 10 as SE. If he was only 36, it was probably the only place he'd ever worked, and I'm reasonably sure it was in his hometown.

We have 9,779 members (not counting nukers) on this board at this moment. We've lost a few to the Forum Eternal, but that we've lost so relatively few over the 4 years, 6 months and 18 days that I've been a member here is a blessing.

Editorhoo started at his paper in Tiffin, Ohio when he was in high school and worked there until last fall. I've been a collegue of his in this area as long as he has been there. I saw the pain in his eyes when he told me he'd been fired. He did deserve better.
    I can't believe he's gone.

    RIP my friend.
