Sports intern, Cedar Park-Leander Statesman

The Cedar Park-Leander Statesman sports department is looking for an intern for the 2013-14 school year, starting in late August.
The CP-L Statesman is a weekly paper serving the Cedar Park and Leander communities and a member of Austin Community Newspapers, associated with the Austin American-Statesman. We produce a weekly print product that reaches 30,000 readers on Wednesdays and our website runs on the 24/7 news cycle.
The position requires roughly 12 hours a week of commitment, including high school sports coverage two nights a week (mostly Tuesdays and Fridays) and desk work on Mondays, which is production day for our print edition.
We are looking for a candidate with writing and reporting experience at a college publication or prior internship. Multimedia and social media experience is encouraged, but not required.
