    Here's a trivia question for the board:

    What organization has gone the longest without developing* a Hall of Famer?

    *meaning they were the team that originally drafted and signed the future HOFer. (example: if Jeff Bagwell had been elected, he would count toward Boston, not Houston)

    Give me the team and the player. The answer might surprise you.

    edit: We are only counting players actually in the Hall, not players that aren't yet eligible but are considered locks.

    I thought there would be more as well. He's not there yet, but I think Beltran is pretty close and I'd vote for him before any other contemporary CF such as Edmonds, Andruw Jones, Damon or Bernie Williams.

    Kind of in the Andruw Jones category for me. Five to 10 years ago, you would have assumed they were locks, but injuries, and the loss of speed and defense, have made both borderline candidates in my mind. Beltran looks like he can still contribute as long as he stays healthy, while Jones is firmly in the platoon portion of his career.
