My hometown and the place I got my first real byline as a 16-year-old. :D

In the day it used to claim to have more PhDs per capita than any city in the nation. High school test scores would tend to support that claim (An ORHS student who scored in the 90th percentile nationwide might be only in the 50th percentile at his school). The kid who sat next to me in 11th grade history class was the founding president of Google China and was named one of Time's 100 most influential a few months ago.

Never understood why the high school team's nickname was "Wildcats", though. Atoms or Isotopes would have been much more fitting.
