The Los Angeles News Group is seeking an enterprise writer for sports. The successful applicant understands digital reporting and social media, and has a demonstrated history of breaking news, but foremost is an outstanding writer. We’re looking for a journalist who can turn strong big-picture and unique stories quickly and regularly, and is a frequent presence on A-1. This journalist is equally comfortable in an investigative and project environment as well as he or she is with features and explanatory reporting. He or she is also well-versed in all professional and college sports and likely has prior beat experience. To apply, send a cover letter, resume and appropriate portfolio to Gene Warnick, Sports Editor, Los Angeles News Group at gene.warnick@dailynews.com. Questions may be directed to that address as well.
