    from JJ.com:

The Daily Globe, an award-winning southwest Minnesota daily, is seeking an energetic sports editor. Applicant must have strong writing, pagination and leadership skills. Must be proficient with Quark, and photography experience is strongly preferred. Our coverage area includes 20 high schools and one college. This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a region with a long-established love of sports. We are owned by Forum Communications Co., which offers excellent potential for advancement (our last sports editor just moved up). This opening is immediate. Send resume, cover letter and at least three clips demonstrating your abilities to: Ryan McGaughey, Managing Editor, Daily Globe, 300 11th St., Worthington MN 56187, or e-mail rmcgaughey@dglobe.com. No phone calls, please.

Worthington is really out there, though Sioux Falls is about an hour away. The last guy went to the Forum, which seems pretty decent. If I recall it's a small section, two people and only a couple of pages a night with extremely minimal wire content. Hardly seems like a mind-blowing job, but you could do worse.
