Sports Editor needed at small daily in west central Ohio. We are a community-oriented newspaper that offers experienced journalists and recent college graduates the opportunity to sharpen their skills. Our sports section has a strong tradition of excellence, and we intend to keep the legacy going. As in many Ohio communities, the public stands behind its sports teams and we intend to provide the stories and photos they want. This is not a 9 to 5 position. We may be small, but we can offer a great deal of experience for eager learners. The Sports Editor is responsible for covering all sports, writing and editing stories, taking photos and laying out eye-catching pages. We publish six days a week Monday through Saturday. Saturday’s paper is produced on Friday night. A degree in journalism, along with photography and pagination skills using Photoshop and InDesign are required.
