    Description:
    The Traverse City Record-Eagle, a seven-day home delivery newspaper with an expanding digital presence, seeks a talented, experienced journalist to lead our Sports department. Our new Sports Editor will be responsible for leading the three-member Sports staff, with responsibilities to include coverage planning and substantial reporting, writing and photography/videography. The Record-Eagle’s coverage area includes much of northwestern Michigan, and is a hotbed for prep sports and many outdoor-oriented activities such as marathons, bicycle races, and ski events.

    The successful candidate will have at least five years of professional journalism experience and an outstanding work ethic with an excellent writing and reporting touch.
