figured idaho would've filled us in on this one but here it is courtesy of jjobs...

The Wood River Journal, an award-winning weekly with an average circulation of 14,500, is looking for a sports fan and outdoors enthusiast to complete our team.
We want someone who will work hard and play hard in our mountain community, surrounded by millions of acres of public land, and home of Sun Valley, America's original ski resort.

Here you will cover scholastic sports, ski and snowboard competitions, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, hunting and more. We have excellent restaurants, fantastic art galleries and a blossoming music scene. Our public schools are among the best in Idaho.

The successful candidate has a bachelor’s degree and writing experience at the professional or collegiate level. Proficiency with digital photography or page design will give you a leg up.

We offer employee ski privileges, paid vacations your first year, 401K, an employee stock purchase plan, medical, dental and life insurance.

The Journal is part of Lee Enterprises, which owns 58 dailies and more than 300 weekly and specialty publications, providing endless opportunities to ambitious folks.

To apply, send a resume and three writing samples to editor@woodriverjournal.com, or by mail to 507 South Main St., Hailey, ID 83333, attn: Editor.

Get ready to pay a lot of money to live there and cater to some real snobs. But it is really beautiful country and top notch skiing is in the area.
Plus, Hemingway blew his head off near there.

You will need to live somewhere 15-20 miles away with the other little people. but other than that, it'd be a fabulous gig in a lot of ways.

Only a couple of high schools to worry about -- Wood River High is 4A (about 800 students 9-12) and The Community School (mascots is the Cutthroats) is a semi-private(?) 1A school for the people who don't want to send their children to the public school with their housekeeper's kids. But you get to cover skiing, snowshoeing, and lots of other outdoorsy type sports with only one deadline per week.

    I wouldn't mind this job.

Sun Valley has some of the best skiing in the nation if you can afford it. Sun Valley is definitely the new version of Aspen, at least to the rich folk and Harry.

Uhh, Sun Valley was Aspen long before Aspen was Aspen.
