Are you freakin' kidding me? Statesboro isn't big enough to have outlying burbs, unless you count trailer parks.

After driving through Statesboro recently I can attest to the "outlying burbs" It's called Metter or Claxton.

 

Everything's better in Metter. No, really, that's the town's slogan.
You want outlying burbs, I'll give you outlying - Register, Brooklet, Nevils, Leefield!

 

Hey, you've got to give Brooklet some credit. They're actually building a Subway there and they have an IGA supermarket. I think that's worth a jump from outlying to adjacent. Now Portal, their claim to fame is a Dollar General. ;D

Can't forget Dover, Daisy, Rocky Ford or the lovely utopia of Hopeulikit.

God, I spent way too much time in Bulloch County.

 

And for the uninitiated - it is pronounced "Hope you like it", not "hope you lick it." And one of my very best friends is from there.
