    Saw this on the OPA website and didn't see it around anywhere else on JJ or here, so I figured I'd post it. Shawnee is about 40 miles East/Southeast from downtown OKC, for those curious.

    Job Description: FULL TIME SPORTS EDITOR NEEDED.

    The Shawnee News-Star, a centrally located 6-day daily newspaper in Oklahoma, is seeking an energetic, dynamic, self-starting individual to join its award-winning team as a sports editor. This individual also will handle some photography duties, especially as it relates to Sports. Candidates will have at least two years of college and experience in writing and editing sports. The candidate should have a good knowledge and understanding of all sports.
    Job requires being able to meet specific deadlines. Emphasis is on local and college sports in this area. Experience at a daily or weekly newspaper or similar publication is helpful. Those seeking the position should have a command of good grammar, spelling and be able to work under daily deadlines with flexible hours.
