    Love high school sports? Times Beacon Record Newspapers, a chain of weekly, community newspapers on the North Shore of Suffolk County, is looking for a part-time sports editor to oversee high school sports coverage for all seven newspapers.

    The editor is responsible for assigning stories to freelance sports reporters and editing those stories. The sports editor also has the opportunity to cover a story or two a week himself if he desires.

    Sports editor works an estimated 20 hours a week

    Candidates MUST have reporting experience — editing experience a plus and sports editing experience a double plus.

    Candidates should email their resume, at least three sports clips and at least half a dozen action photos to rshapiro@tbrnewspapers.com

    The editor works out of the Setauket office — local applicants only.

    Salary in the low $20K range.

    $20K for 20 hours of work a week isn't bad. You'd have to find another job, however.
