    I've driven through 10 worse stretches since June. I-44 from St. Louis to Springfield is not like driving through Montana, but it's head and shoulders above any stretch of interstate in Illinois or Indiana and anything on I-75 in Georgia -- unless you're a fan of construction cones.

    I-80, Grand Island NE through Cheyenne WY. Also I-80, Laramie through Rock Springs WY.

    Believe it or not, I once saw Adam Sandler in Rolla. He had a great line: "They asked me where I wanted to go on this tour ... L.A., Chicago, New York. I said, 'Fuck that, I'm goin' to Rolla.'"
