The Port Arthur News is looking for a sport editor to direct sports coverage at our award-winning community newspaper. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience covering sports, be able to manage staff and correspondents, paginate and effectively use our Web site and social media. The News is a member of Boone Newspapers and offers a full package of benefits including company contributed health insurance, paid sick leave, vacation, retirement and profit sharing. Port Arthur is on the Texas Gulf Coast near the Louisiana border. In addition to the local high schools, we cover Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Lamar University at Beaumont.
