The Pocono Record in Stroudsburg, Pa., a 20,000 print, 16,000 online operation with additional thousands of email newsletter and text message subscribers, is a national leader in digital innovation and online/print convergence. We are looking for a sports editor willing to make online, video, email newsletters, and text messaging equal resources with our Sports print operation. InDesign and cyber skills valuable, but more important is the willingness to approach local sports with the attitude that there is more going on than just game coverage. The faint of heart need not apply, but if you want to find out what it takes to make yourself employable in the industry in the coming decades, this is the place. Email resumes to Bill Watson at wwatson@poconorecord.com with 'Sports Editor of the Future' in the subject line.

are there a lot of newspapers listing online circulation numbers like this one?
  6. most newspapers prefer to list the truth and facts, so probably not.

I have no clue what that number means. 16,000 page views a day? Hits a week? Uniques a month? Comments a quarter? Did they do a "Do you read us online?" poll and "forget" to safeguard it against repeat voters?
