are there a lot of newspapers listing online circulation numbers like this one?

  6. most newspapers prefer to list the truth and facts, so probably not.

I have no clue what that number means. 16,000 page views a day? Hits a week? Uniques a month? Comments a quarter? Did they do a "Do you read us online?" poll and "forget" to safeguard it against repeat voters?
