Dynamic regional publishing company has a rare opening for an individual seeking a leadership position in sports journalism. The opening is for a sports editor for community-based newspapers and a regional golf and tennis magazine. Responsibilities include producing weekly sports sections for the Peabody / Lynnfield Weekly News and serving as editor for North Shore Golf and Tennis magazine, a prestigious regional in-season publication. The successful applicant will write and edit stories about local sports and design and prepare sports pages for each edition of weekly newspapers and will develop and prepare editorial content for golf and tennis publication. The ability to write and edit well under deadline pressure is essential. This position requires night and weekend hours, and is an opportunity to make a mark in a community where sports news is important. Excellent pay and benefits.
