Awesome area to cover high school sports. Pretty much as good as it gets.

Wow. This is pretty unbelievable. I met Nick this year through the biz and am pretty stunned by this. He's very well known around the Katy community having been there a long time. Pretty shocking.

No. Clemens went to Spring Woods HS, in the Spring Branch district of Houston. He's lived in Memorial for quite a long time now.

Katy's about 15 miles down the road, not really anywhere close to the same neighborhood.

And yeah, Katy high school sports is about as good as it gets in that area. Pretty top-notch.

Katy is basically the Plano of Houston, with six (soon to be seven) high schools instead of three.

Where this guy may end up, he'll really be taking it in the butt.

Clemens did indeed go to Spring Woods, but he lived for a while in Katy, thus the nickname "Katy Rocket" you hear sometimes.

Clemens lives in Katy now. That was where Mike Wallace did that interview for 60 minutes.

Fair enough. I just don't ever associate him with Katy, and haven't heard that nickname before.
