    MULTI-MEDIA SPORTS EDITOR

    The Jessamine Journal in Nicholasville, Kentucky, is seeking a Multi-Media Sports

    Editor. The Multi-Media Sports Editor is responsible for reporting all local sports

    coverage, preparing news for mobile and online platforms, and building out stories for

    print and tablet. Photography, videography and social media skills are required, as

    producing and editing videos and photo galleries will be routine.

    We’re seeking someone with beat writing experience, with 5+ years experience in the

    field. Experience working under tight deadlines is also required, along with a Bachelor’s

    degree in a related field, and a valid driver’s license with good driving record.

    In addition to a high level of journalistic integrity, successful candidates must also:

    • Be well-organized, self-motivated

    • Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    • Be able to demonstrate strong news judgment

    • Be deadline-driven

    • Be able to focus on story development with a creative approach

    • Be able to communicate clearly with other employees

    • Possess a basic knowledge of web publishing software

    • Possess the ability to learn new technology quickly

    • Possess a working knowledge of AP style
