    Seeking A Sports Editor Do you want to be the voice of sports in a great sports town? The Nashville News of Nashville, Ill., is seeking a new sports editor and you could be the person for the job! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the basics of print, digital and social media journalism and have the ability to write, shoot photos and lay out pages for the sports section of our 4,800 circulation weekly newspaper. Qualifications: • In-depth sports knowledge is essential. • Experience with photography, online and social media promotion is expected. • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, current auto insurance and a good driving record is required. • Previous sports writing experience is preferred, but recent grads are encouraged to apply. • An aptitude for newspaper work is desired. • A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is strongly preferred. • The ability and willingness to familiarize one's self with the Nashville Hornets Sports community and the community of Nashville as a whole. Additional duties will include assistance with general news, circulation and office work, and the candidate we are seeking will be part of a team working to put out the best community newspaper possible. Pay will be negotiable depending on the candidate and experience.
